C: Measure the window depth

The fabric is rolled forward from the top of the roller, away from the window and into the room.
This is recommended for recess fitted blinds as it does not get in the way of obstructions such as winders and door handles. The blinds also sit almost flush to the front edge of the window frame.
This is often not desirable for face fitted blinds as it creates a gap down the side of the blind, allowing excess light to enter the room.
The fabric is rolled backward from the top of the roller, towards the window and away the room. This style provides better insulation and light control as it is closer to the window.
This is recommended for face fitted blinds as it reduces gaps on the side for light to seep through.
If you're not sure which blind design best suits your window, don't worry. We walk you through outside the frame, outside a frameless window and inside the frame design options before we start.
If your window is between 300mm and 3000mm wide, and 400mm to 3000mm high it fits within our standard range. If not, shoot us an email and we'll be in touch. Include a photo and the dimensions of the opening and we'll be happy to suggest an alternate solution.
Glimma Blinds can be fixed to most surfaces, however do your research before you start so you'll know if you require further tools for installation.
Timber: This is the most common installation method. Just ensure you pre-drill the holes for the brackets with a 3mm drill bit and fixing in with the provided self-tapping screws
MDF: For MDF, there's no need to pre-drill. Simply screw in the brackets with the provided self-tapping screws
Plaster: We recommend you to use Ramset 10mm Grip Hollow Wall Anchors if you cannot find a timber stud to fix the blinds to.
Concrete, Stone, Brick or Tile: Use a masonry drill with the appropriate plugs, anchors or screws. Please note we do not supply screws for this application.
You may wish to have motorised blinds. This means a no effort, child safe and accessible option for opening and closing your blinds.
